How come i cant see a persons answer when i type in yahoo messenger?

when i type to someone the words disappear and i cant see when they type back

It could be the font color is white, but if that's not the problem, it has to be a scripting error. To enable Scripting. 1. Click on Tools-Internet Options. 2. Click the "Security" tab. 3. Click the Internet (globe) icon and click the "Custom Level" button. 4. Scroll down all the way to "Scripting." 5. Enable the following: a) Active scripting b) Allow paste operations via script c) Scripting of Java applets are all enabled 6. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Restart Yahoo! Messenger and you should start seeing text in your IM windows. Both you and your friend needs to do this for it to work.
