Where are the sounds in Yahoo Messenger 8.1?

A virus plays yahoo messenger sounds.READ THIS.ITS NOT AN ORDINARY YAHOO VIRUS!?

  • I got a virus that plays yahoo messenger sounds on my pc.it don't shows anything,only plays sounds.but they are annoying.like i watch a movie or something on full screen then i just hear a sound that i got a message or a buzz, so i go and see what it is,i stop my movie just to see its nothing.the sounds are playing when i got my mess on but also when its off.btw i didn't clicked any link i got from yahoo messages.and also i have kaspersky internet security 2010 which don't see any virus.pls help me.pls

    I'll bet it's not a virus, rather it's your Yahoo and Window Alerts going of for all sorts of things that you have no idea of. You should go into your Alerts settings and disable the alerts for people coming and going on and offline, for when you receive an email or message, for when an alert hits your page and all other miscellaneous notifications like that. I know it seemed like fun when you first got your computer, but very quickly the noise becomes a major distraction and very annoying and that's where I think you are now.
