Why can't I install Yahoo messenger into computer?

Pls help w/ yahoo messenger installer!?

hi! i have this trouble while i try to install yahoo messenger 8 or any other version. i download the .exe file and install it but when the installment is close to end there are some odd boxes that pop and say: 1. GLJ92.tmp - Bad Image The application or DLL C: \program files\yahoo!\messenger\D32-FW.DLL is not a valid Windows image.please check this against your installation diskette. 2. GLJ92.tmp -bad image The application or DLL C: \program files\yahoo\messenger\kdu_v32M.dll is not a valid Windows image. please check this against your installation diskette. 3. YahooMessenger.exe -Bad Image The application or DLL C:\program files\yahoo\messenger\idle.dll is not a valid Windows image. please check this against your installation diskette. It finally says that ymessenger was successfully installed but i cant even open it. This happens since i last formatted my pc.Should i format it again? or there are any settings i can adjust on my computer? thank you
