Why won't yahoo messenger open?

  • This has been bugging me since friday. I have already deleted every trace of yahoo in my computer then I downloaded the installer then installed but still to no avail. I have done this process for about five times already trying different versions of yahoo messenger. But every time after installing, when I double click the yahoo messenger icon, nothing happens. Help me please, I need yahoo messenger. It was just this friday that when I went home from school, yahoo messenger won't work just like that all of a sudden. HELP

    It happens to me sometimes as well. I am not sure if this will help you, but whenever mine won't open, I hit ctrl-alt-delete, click on the processes tab, and find yahoo messenger in that list, highlight it, then hit the delete key. A window will pop-up. Select 'yes'. Then close the crtl-alt-delete window and double click yahoo messenger on your desktop. It always works for me... Hope this helps.
