My windows live messenger does not work?

Windows live messenger refuses to work.?

• Ok, so here's a problem that's been present on my computer for a few months now and i've not really been all that bothered about it until now. Ok, i go to the start menu, click on 'Windows live messenger' and wait for it to load up. I type in my email and password then click sign in. Here's the really annoying problem though; as the little green and blue guy and doing their circle, all seems fine until all of a sudden, the window disappears. I go down to the taskbar to click on the windows live symbol and when the mouse goes over it, that disappears too. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but that didn't help and i've googled the problem but i haven't come across anybody that has had the same problem nor can i find a site that has a solution to this problem. I might just be my computer being stupid but if it is Windows live that's the problem, does anyone know how to fix this ?

  Well the program is crashing. Corrupted or whatever. You might want to install .net framework again. Might fix. Or if it is that important reinstall your OS(windows) Which btw, XP, Vista, or Windows 7?
