Why my yahoo messenger not work?

Why won't yahoo messenger work with vista?

• more specifically, why won't it work with one of my screen names but will work just fine with the other one? it can't be a vista issue or a messenger version issue if one name logs in with no problems but the other one won't work. with the screen name that doesn't work, i can log into that account just fine to check email and it also works on web-based messenger so my password/account hasn't been compromised any. its just that specific name specifically on yahoo messenger that gives me problems. uninstalling..reinstalling..clean sweep..password reset..nothing works
