Why wont web cam work with yahoo but works fines with windows live messenger?

tried reinstalling camera but doesn't work webcam settings and source buttons wont highlight webcam is yahoo compatible

Its just Yahoo. It isnt any better than that. Ever noticed thousands of websites and programs but yet Yahoo is the worst program there is. Slow loggins, disconnects, voice going out. If the Yahoo programmers were any count, they'd be working for Microsoft wouldnt they?
