Why does Yahoo now sign me into chat even when I say No thanks?

Please can someone help me? I use Yahoo classic, I am unable to sign into chat, it keeps saying I am offlne?

I have always used yahoo classic, about four weeks ago I found that I could no longer sign into chat from there, so I can no longer talk to my family when I am on yahoo. It either says I am offline and when I click to say I am available it does one of two things. Either it tries to load, but doesn`t or it just stays saying I am offline. Please can someone help me??????????????????????

This has happened to me , then I found out it was because I had other sites open,If you go on yahoo and want to chat, close all your other sites first. Some of them might be put on by yahoo and you can only have 2 open at once. I'm writing this as simply as I can...Don't you get upset when people make it so complicated ? :-) Friend in Utah Evie
