How can I disconnect my Yahoo messenger?

How do i disconnect yahoo messenger to go to mail chat on yahoo?

    Sounds like you are using Yahoo mail which has a built-in messenger and have the Yahoo messenger installed additionally. When Yahoo detects that you’ve already signed into Yahoo Mail, it will disconnect you when you try to sign into messenger or vice versa - hence the message that you are signed in to another computer. To get rid of your problem simply disable chat in your mail (!) account by clicking the smiley and following the prompts. To close Yahoo Messenger to chat from Mail - Right click on the Smiley icon down in the System Tray and select 'Exit' To close the IM feature in Mail set your status next to your name to 'Offline' by clicking on the smiley icon or the drop-box arrow and select 'Sign out of Chat' Incidentally signing out of chat in Mail will allow you to have Messenger and Mail open at the same time

If your on the Yahoo Messenger and you go to check your e-mail on Yahoo.com...that is another source of chat and it will sign you out of the messenger....you can't be on two chat sources at one time...the software was designed like that....nothing you can do about it...............
