Why wont windows messenger connect?

I'm trying to download Windows Live Messenger (latest version) says 'Failed to Connect'?

http://download.live.com/messenger I click download, then it takes me to http://g.live.com/1rewlive3/en/wlsetup-custom.exe Which says 'Failed To Connect' Pic: <a href="http://nl.tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/2cmx5lh.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> I am connected to the internet, but windows live wont install on any of my laptops or computers, but if i wanted to download like AIM or anything it would work. Can someone please help me? :(

try resetting the computers clock and date this happened with my mum and it worked after.
