Why can't I log into messenger?

Why cant I log onto my messenger anymore?

• I was able to log into my messenger this morning, then around noon I tried logging in again and it said "There was a problem signing into Yahoo! messenger. Please try again a little bit later" Well Its been like 5 hours later and it still wont allow me on. I tried uninstalling it and installing it again and still nothing. So I called a few friends and their all able to get on theres. Can someone please help?

  From Yahoo Messenger Help "Why Can't I log On?" Messenger connection information may be incorrect. Follow these steps to configure your connection: Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences." Enable the "Firewall with no proxies" option. Select the correct Internet connection type and country from the pull-down menus. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button. The above configuration works in most situations. (However, if you connect in this way, you won't be able to use the Voice feature.) If this configuration doesn't work, follow these steps: Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences." Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the OK button at the bottom of the window. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button. If neither of the above options work (sorry), you're probably behind a firewall or proxy server that requires you to enter its address. Follow these steps: Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences." Enable the "Use proxies" option. Enter your firewall or proxy server's address and port number. Contact your network administrator (if you're at work), or your Internet service provider (if you're at home) to determine the correct firewall and proxy settings. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button. If you try all of the steps above and Yahoo!
