Why can't I get my Yahoo Messenger with windows Vista?

What version of windows messenger is compatible with windows vista home premium version?

  • ive downloaded everything from 7.0 to the newest version of messenger to my new toshiba laptop with windows vista home premium and every version of yahoo messenger ive tried keeps doing the same things.allows me online to get in the chat rooms i normally get into and 3 things accur 1.the talk button doesnt show up green as usual and no error message either. 2-i cant use the volume control button. 3- i cant use the mute button on my laptop only with vista home premium.but i am using 7.0 on my desk top computer with windows xp home and thats runing fine......plz let me know how long it will be before you will have an updated version of yahoo messenger specifically for windows vista.......as the new 8.0 doesnt seems to be working fully....

    there are compatibility issues, yahoo are working on a patch, it'll be out as soon as they can get themselves organised
