How to check installed software's version?

Since july 2007 i have windows vista on my new computer i installed yahoo messenger version 8.1?

  • since i done that i have a few problems when i try to check my email and click the email button in the upper right corner it wont pop up a internet page to my emailaccount. also when i right click a contact in my messenger and click profile it wont pop up a profile page does this have annything to do with my version off yahoo messenger or with windows vista i allready set my default explorer to internet explorer 7 i also use norton internet security 2007 maybe that has something to do with it but i tried it all can someone pleasse help so i can see the profiles again thnx oh and 1 other thing does annyone know when the vista version off yahoo messenger will be releassed thnx for your help

    well norton is a big problem cause it is like aol it takes over your computer.so unistall norton all of it . and has for the new ver of yahoo messenger for vista there is no word yet when it will come out

I agree with the dude above. I got vista in Feb and norton just didn't get along with it. messenger worked fine until lately, but everyone seems to be having problems with it.
