How to solve problems with editing Yahoo toolbar?

Has anyone been able to find a solution to the yahoo messenger 8 problem?

  • everytime i try i get an error 26 message. i am trying to contact a member of my family and this is the only form i can get. i know about other sites, but on those sites you cant send files or share pics. please help me solve my problem. it was working fine yesterday for me, but my computer froze today and i restarted it and now it doesnt work. i keep uninstalling it and reinstalling it and once it is installed i cant log on bc of proxy problems. i had this problem for about 4 months before i fixed it yesterday by disabling norton antivirus on my computer, but now i cant find norton antivirus on the bottom toolbar on my computer. there is a norton internet security icon over my yahoo toolbar, but everytime i click it, nothing happens. can anyone help me with this extensive problem? thank you sooo much if you can

    It is actually conflicting with the antivirus in your system(Norton) because Yahoo also supports & use Norton, as well as I suggest that after uninstalling you also delete the existing setup file & downlowad or use a different CD, and use a different folder to save & install it. You can also report it to yahoo help desk & have a online support.

really not sure but u could try a system restore and set your pc back to a different day when it was working properly, to do this close all programs, click start, programs, accessories, system tools, then system restore. choose the date on the calendar that your pc was running ok and let it restore back to that day. restart your pc after you've done the restore. hope this helps.

Delayed messages.The problem is due to the large files that are being download, if you have dial-up and your computer is not one of the latest system, you will be encountering problem of delayed messages. Are you using window blinds or alien guise or some other window enhancement program? e.g. programs that add extra buttons like transparency and keep always on top or change the look of the windows in anyway (not including standard XP themes) if so disable it and yahoo should work. Do a search on <>http://www.wackyb.com> for window blinds This is sometimes a flash issue, make sure you have download and installed flash from Internet explorer (not any other browser) <>http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/.> To delete address bar history as it also helps, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok. AlsoYahoo changed the sounds in YM8. You can replace the new sounds with the old ones.
