What is the latest version of Windows Live Messenger?

I've installed what appeared to be the latest version of Window Live Messenger, but it said there was another update avalible. Am i right in thinking that the Version i'm looking for is Messenger Version 14? I can't use messenger at all without this 'update'. Thanks

The latest version is next years release in Beta format (2011 Beta) You can check and download all the versions from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/ Yes, version 14 was released prior to to the Beta version
