Why are people being taking off my friends list?

Why doesn't my Messenger 'friends' list refresh? After people sign off, their name still stays on.

  • After people sign off of Messenger, their name still shows as 'online' on my friends list - often for 10-15 minutes. Sometimes the list doesn't refresh until I close and restart Messenger. I have also noticed that there is a big lag time (maybe up to 10-15 minutes) from when someone actually signs on until they show up as 'online' on my list. (I have verified all these times while talking to friends on the phone.) Is this normal? It certainly explains why, when I message people sometimes, they aren't responding. They probably aren't there any more?! For the record, I recently downloaded the latest version of Messenger (thinking the old version was the problem) but that hasn't seemed to have made any difference. Please advise! Thanks!!

    ON THE MESSENGER CLICK CONTACTS UNCHECK "SHOW OFF LINE CONTACTS " THAT SHOULD FIX IT IF NOT un-install the messenger then install this 1 http://a3.msg.sc5.yahoo.com/download.php... the yahoo messenger 8.0 sux this is the classic uncorruopted 7.5 version hope it helps
