Why am I unable to log in to Yahoo Messenger 8.0?

I cant log in my yahoo messenger 8. Pls help?

Here's how: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger8/messenger/mstanoconnect.html Click the "Messenger" menu and select "Connection Preferences." Select "Firewall with no proxies." Click "Apply." You should see a message asking you to sign in again. Click "OK." Enter your Yahoo! ID and password, then click "Sign In." ALSO: Update the Software at the below link: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger10/notices/mstabuguqscripterror.html After Updating, check that you do not have old versions of Flash Player, Shock Wave player and Java ...this causes problems also. Click Start/Control Panel/ Programs delete the old versions. **Remember to REboot your system for proper changes to occur". Best of Luck to You
