How do I delete an incorrect entry from the address book?

• It seems a lot of people have asked this and there is not definitive answer, so i'm asking again in the hope that a developer decides to take a look and work it out. When I select a buddy who's showing up with their IM handle in my buddy list, but someone who I actually do have an address book entry for, I can right click "More actions" and then "Associate with another contact", the above error pops up.. EVERYTIME. Yes I'm on the latest version, yes I just just upgraded. Everytime this happens so now in my address book I have entries with full names, phone numbers etc and then rogue buddy names too that are not linked. Some people say, add your buddy's handle into the address card. Nope, can't do that either because yahoo complains I already have a buddy with that address. So then I delete my buddy first and then add them in to the address card.. yep that works but the buddy vanishes from my list, probably because I just deleted them and I neeed to ask for access again. UGH!

• Answer:

  May be YM has a conflict with another program during its loading time. You should try to exit YM completely, and then run it again. I had same problem (just 1 time) but everything returns to normal state after I did like the above. Good luck & god bless YM!
