  • everytime i pm this person i get disconnected and when someone different pm's me they get the same?

  • Answer:

Alot of people, mainly ytunnel users are having this issue. When I disconnected ytunnel and just ran messenger by itself, it seemed to work for me. Are you running messenger alone or with another program with it...such as Ytunnel, etc?

If it was the Windows Blinds issue, Yahoo Messenger would be crashing all the time for anything, not just PMs. Next thing to try is to change your connection settings. Go to top of YM and click on Messenger and then Preferences. Go to the Connections page and try these options, no proxies or no network detection (try one than the other). Click OK after choosing one. Yahoo Messenger will need to close to change the settings. You can also clear out your yahoo cache. My Computer/C:Drive/Program Files/Yahoo/Messenger/Cache. You can delete everything in the cache folder. Again exit yahoo messenger first.

The problem is due to the large files that are being download, if you have dial-up and your computer is not one of the latest system, you will be encountering problem of delayed messages. Are you using window blinds or alien guise or some other window enhancement program? e.g. programs that add extra buttons like transparency and keep always on top or change the look of the windows in anyway (not including standard XP themes) if so disable it and yahoo should work. Do a search on http://www.wackyb.com >for window blinds This is sometimes a flash issue, make sure you have download and installed flash from Internet explorer (not any other browser) >http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/.> Try running your disk cleanup program...It can be found in system tools...also,delete cookies/temp files and clear history from internet options place as follows To delete address bar history as it also helps, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok Hope this solve the problem.
