What is a good universal messenger?

What good is yahoo messenger if I cant chat since I have vista ?

  • I just downloaded messenger and now I found out I cant get the chat roomss what is the point of messenger ? Why is this feature not available for windows vista ?

be sure to uninstall any betas in control panel >> add remove programs before you attempt to revert back to 8.1

Chat rooms for the Vista Beta Messenger is not available as of yet, just like a lot of other things that the regular messenger 8.1 has vista don't. Just go and download 8.1 and you can go to chat rooms then, and you don't even have to take the Vista messenger off your PC either. You can have both on at the same time without any conflicts. Get 8.1 here > http://messenger.yahoo.com/ I suggest you stay away from the Beta 9 also. hope this helps

it is available i have vista go to messenger click on messenger in the top left corner and then just click yahoo chat
