Why is my stupid yahoo account screwing up?

Yahoo Messenger not connecting... why?

  • Ok so I was having issues earlier in the week where my computer was not connecting to the internet on browsers but I could go on my aim and Yahoo fine. It turned out the McAfee update I had just put on ended up screwing with my browsers, so I disabled it. Now I'm able to browse on the internet and get on aim and all my other messengers, but for some reason my Yahoo isn't working. I recently installed AVG but I don't think that is the problem because I was able to go on Yahoo after I put it on the computer. I haven't installed anything since then and I haven't changed anything since the last time I could sign on except for disabling McAfee. Someone help! Oh and I AM able use Web Messenger, so I know it's not something with my account. But Web Messenger is Web Messenger, which is why I want to use normal Yahoo Messenger.

    Uninstall McAfee completely. Reboot and you may be able to use yahoo messenger.

mine wont let me on the messenger on the wed thing so what is wrong with it?

I have always noticed that Yahoo Messenger is very sensitive to adding other software. You should go in under CONTROL PANEL and then ADD/DELETE PROGRAMS and uninstall Yahoo IM and then reboot your computer. After that, go back onto the browser you use and go to Yahoo IM and redownload Messenger. It should work after that. Shouldn't take more than 20 mins or so to do.

see if i have this right cause a ton of us r having probs and yahoo is doing nothing about it. we have notes in messenger and when we try to respond it says mailbox is full even if it empty. yahoo is really screwed up. so many emails in space r now because of yahoo.
