Is the Yahoo messenger server still down?

I can't get into yahoo messenger, its say can not connect with server. What wrong with yahoo messenger?

Yahoo has been having server problems which could cause you to not launch messenger.

Must be the weird weather they've been having lately that's screwing with their servers, which is creating unnecessary problems for everyone. Just be patient and I am sure their expert technicians will have the problem solved and the system will be up and running again., soon!

A possiblity could be the software. Try uninstalling yahoo messenger and reinstalling it. this usually fixes problems. make sure to restart the computer after the uninstall, and then again after the installation. If this doesn't work then check back in a couple of hours and see if it comes up if it does then it was a yahoo server issue otherwise if reinstalling yahoo messenger does it then it was software. at last resort or if your courious, you can try "trillian". It's an all in one messeging wich includes yahoo, aim, msn, icq, and irc. this is good software that i've used for years, you just don't get as many smilies as yahoo gives ;-)
