First of all, add your friend's mobile number on their Contact details. To do this, right click on the Contact in the Messenger Window and then click on "Contact details". Enter the number followed by "Save and Close". Then right click on the Contact you want to send an SMS to in the Yahoo Messenger Window where your Contacts are held. Click on "Send SMS Message". Enter the number (including code). Click on "OK". A chat box will open for you to type your message in. Click on "Send" when finished.
