Why won't Yahoo sign me in?

I just downloaded Yahoo Messenger and why wont it ever sign in?

  • I just downloaded Yahoo Messenger and it lets me sign in and everything but it never connects. Its been trying to sign in for like 15 minutes now. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with it?

    Yahoo! Messenger 8 has all kinds of issues. Uninstall your yahoo messenger version 8 and install the Yahoo! Messenger 7 or 7.5. Dell Tech Support recommends that you do this due to all the problems like the ones your encountering. To uninstall go to Add/Remove programs and remove. If that doesn’t work, go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo! to remove. To download Yahoo Messenger version 7, go to: http://www.brothersoft.com/internet/chat/yahoo_messenger_download_43827.html I downloaded this one and it works great! To download Yahoo Messenger version 7.5, go to: http://www.filehippo.com/download_yahoo_messenger/?627 Or you can download any version of Yahoo Messenger at: http://www.oldapps.com/yahoo_messenger.htm If your popup blocker doesn’t allow it to download, hold down “Ctrl” while you click on download. After you download the messenger you can retrieve all of your contacts by going into your contacts and importing contacts. It will guide you through from there.
