Can't add new contacts in my yahoo messenger?

• When I Delete an old contact or group it reapears when I log in next and I cant seem to add a new contact either... Delete all of the files in your Messenger Cache folder: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Cache Then go to this web page and delete them there: http://messenger.yahoo.com/edit............ Exit Messenger and restart. Already done this and it dont work either.. I still get my old contacts come back and i am still unable to add new contacts :( I have also tried http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messeng... which did not help either possibly install the latest/newest version they have out, sounds like the program you are using has a bug, not one caused by YIM but maybe by a file being deleted or overwritten on your PC.. Try installing the latest version again over the top of your current version, if that doesn't work, my next suggestion would be do a uninstall and do a complete new reinstall....   You are trying to delete too many at one time i think.It has happened to me a few times as well.Try just a few at a time, and let it rest awhile.It seems if you do too many Yahoo can't keep up and resets all that you've accomplished.It may take a few days to completely clear a messenger list, but whats the big rush anyway? You can have all the yahoo id's you want,so just sign in with a new name and start over.
