Any more having trouble speaking to MSN contacts?

The "new" updated yahoo messenger ( 8.0 beta) says that you can add & chat to MSN contact as long as you are both running on the latest versions of messenger. I' ve checked & i've updated MY yahoo & my pals have updated their MSN to Windows Live Messenger but nothing seem to be happening! I havn't recieved any invitation from their messenger & they havn't recieved any thing from yahoo! Please Help....
