Whats happening with my yahoo messenger?

  • everytime i log in to Yahoo messenger i get about 36 IM's from someone named "solereclipse" and then i cant do anything else.

    You do not need to uninstall Yahoo Messenger like someone said. Well this is a type of boot and sometimes these boot codes get stuck in the Yahoo Messenger Cache so you can clear this cache out. Here is how. CLEAR YAHOO MESS. CACHE...First exit YM (right click icon by clock and choose exit) then Right Click YM icon on desktop, click Properties, then Click the Find Target button. The Messenger folder will open up. Locate the Cache Folder inside and double click it to open up. You can delete all the files and folders in here. Launch YM again. Now if you do not chat in the chat rooms you can make it so that no one can pm you if they are not on your contact list. At the top of YM go to Messenger Menu and then Preferences. Choose the ignore list category and click the top choice which is to ignore anyone not on your messenger list. Then click OK. Before to change this to the second option if you go into a chat room or you will not see anyone typing.

Delete your messenger, and being careful , download it again. If your not sure what the choices are, don't add them. You could have added except e-mail through your messenger. Good luck!

try to hit ignore, if not go in to ignore list and add them to it.
