Why do I have problems with texting through yahoo?

Having problems texting from my yahoo messenger to an international number?

  • My boy friend was texting my phone but i was unable to text him back, so i decided to use yahoo messenger to try and text him. It isnt working and i cant think why that would be. it was very odd, i was able to call him from my phone, but he couldnt call me. he could text me but i couldnt text him and now yahoo messeger is having problems with calling him and text. can some one please help me out. thanks

    Could be an excuse to not talk to you. But assuming it's not, try texting with AIM or some other website and see if it works.

-when you receive an international text / SMS, pay attention to use the international country code and omitting the first zero of his phone number. say if he is in the Phils, it should be like +63 (92345678......) -he can't call you because international charges is very expensive! -using Yahoo messenger to send text may or not work depending on the phone carrier of that person. say, in the Phils. Globe and Smart phones ONLY can receive text messages sent from YM *Japan country phones can not be able to receive text/SMS sent from YM! that is Japan's Policy!
