How can I change my display image on Yahoo Messenger?

Can't change Yahoo! Messenger display image?

  • Hey! Something fishy is going up today. Some friends of mine and I reported that cannot change their display image in Yahoo! Messenger. I tried this for myself: I select the picture and nothing happens, sometimes it the place where the picture should display is white. Now, no one on my Messenger's list have a picture or an avatar.

    you're not the only one. it's something that the yahoo guys did to yahoo messenger. no one can change his display image. we can't do anything else but wait. hey.. what image remained at your display image ?? :)) hope it's not an ugly ( kinky one ) for your own good.

If Yahoo! is really busy, there can be delay when you upload a new display image to Yahoo! and the time when it actually starts to display to your friends in their Messenger List. The best way to check this for yourself is to add your own Yahoo! ID to your Messenger List. Then you can see how other people see your display image. To show a display image: 1. Go to the Yahoo! Messenger menu and select "Preferences." 2. Click "Display Image," make sure the "Enable display images" is checked then click "Change Default" 3. Select the checkbox next to "Share my Picture", and click "Select" Now click "Browse" to find a picture on your computer to use. When you find the picture you want, click "Open." If you have multiple images in My Pictures, make sure to click on the image you uploaded in the grid of pictures. Click "OK" to go back to "My Display Image" then "OK" again to accept the changes. 4. Close the window. 5. If you added yourself to your Messenger List verify that your dipslay image has changed. If not, wait a few moments and check again. You may need to repeat all the steps a few times, if Yahoo! is really busy.
