Why cant i download Yahoo Messenger 8.1?

  • i am downloading yahoo messenger 8.1 but i cant download it because of some problems popping along the installation period. it is either the installation will stop and a alert will appear saying that the installation was canceled, then when i press retry it will be stucked on 100% but the messenger was not downloaded. another problem is from 2% it will jump to 100%. i wonder what the problem is

    You should follow the procedure given below : Go to messenger.yahoo.com & click on to 'download'. When prompted to run or save,you should save the file first. Close the web page & your internet connection. Now,click on to the saved file icon at the location where you have saved the file.Normally,the file is saved on desktop. You will be prompted to run the file & you click on 'run'. Installation wizard will appearer & you should follow the instructions carefully. Keep patience. Installation will take some time,but you will be through this time.

There are problems with YM 8.1 and 9.0 beta Download an older version ie 7.0 works well for me!! Uninstall your current one before you re-install the older version! Hope this helps!

May try turning off your spy and virus programs they block downloads often.Things you must be doing.Must download in the administrators account.If you are the admin make sure your signed in on that account.A lot of people have trouble downloading 8.1 and 9 Me i would stick with the one that i know works.Messenger 7 http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
