Web messenger help?

Web cam problem when using yahoo messenger. Please help?

Good Day! Just like to ask if you had the same problem with mine. When using yahoo messenger, my webcam just shows a blanc Black even it was broadcasting, i don't see my image there likewise the one viewing me.But when i used my skype acct. web cam was functioning same also on the USB device found on My Computer icon. What would be the probable problem with this? Please help. Thank you!
Answer:

Close all programs until the only thing you have is your desktop wallpaper and icon showing...click on the webcam and bring it up to view....next take the cord from in back of the computer....and unplug it then plug it back in...sometimes it doesn't make contact right away...if it doesn't do it the first time ...try again maybe 3 or 4 times...the computer is not recognizing the Webcam yet in the USB port...and make sure its in the right USB port also.....
