Why can't I get into chat when I have the latest download?

Yahoo messenger will not download on my comp why is this wanna get back into yahoo chat but cant plz help!!!?

you have to go to start, control panel, add/remove programs and completely uninstall the messenger that's already installed. Also your firewall antivrus protection may be blocking it . Go to start, control panel, security center and check your security settings for internet options and firewall settings. For more help got security center help.

Copy the URL of any Yahoo Page or site. Go to Tools>Internet Options> Security tab and the Privacy tab and set the sliders to Medium. Under Privacy Tab go to the Sites Button and click. Paste the URL and click Allow>OK>OK. This allows cookies from yahoo. Next, Clean your Browsers Cache: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/geo/general/general-01.html#Internet%20Explorer%206.x Try the download again. If it doesn't download then go here and tell the Yahoo Messenger Team of your problem. go back to the earlier version, (7.0 I believe). Had the same problem and Dell Tech told me they were having a lot of problems with the new version, (8.0) . The new version would not accept my log in. Re-installed the earlier version and everything works fine.
