Yahoo messenger for mac 3.0 Beta 4 add friends error?

I updated my yahoo messenger for mac to 3.0 beta 4 and every time I try to add a friend, I get an "error , cannot add blah blah blah" anyone shed some light on this please?

Answer:
Yahoo is doing a major update to the site. Many people are getting Error messages. The problem originates in Hadoop, a program that splits commands into tiny bits. When you hit the ADD A FRIEND button, the code is getting scrambled. You can not fix it. This happened for 3 weeks during the July 2008 update. Then it worked again.
