How does Messenger discovery work?

Down loaded messenger 9 because 10 don't work, 9 is saying a problem caused messenger to stop working!!!?

• I tried to download messenger 10, didnt work so tried 9 worked for a couple days now there is missing peices and an error comes up stating that ...a problem caused meesnger to stop working??? I got rid of bing , I heard that it conflicts with yahoo even down graded hear that messenger 10 has some bugs, now its happening with 9, and this is a new laptop a month old with anti virous protection...what to do now, unstall it like I did 10 and reinstall it, 10 would work fine for a day then crashes 9 it took 2 days...I would think it would not work at all when first installing it????? 9 and 10???

  ok doug! now go in to control panel, dump all of yahoo messenger, anything to do with messenger, you have some confliction going on there, then go to messenger 8, see if this is better for your computer, and also sometime,s your fire wall will mess with it, i shut my fire wall off when i downloaded messenger, then get it back on, i,m using messenger 8, no problem,s now, so give 8 a try, good luck guy!
