Where can i edit my screen name?

Where can I go to get "live" help for Yahoo Messenger? My real Name has started showing up instead of scrnnam

  • It seemed to begin - when I had two friends want to add me to their Yahoo 360. So the issue is: what happened to my Yahoo screen name? I don't want my real name to show and I cannot edit it in My Yahoo Profile.

  • Answer:

it's a default on the new version of messenger. click on messenger, at the top of yahoo messenger, and then click my contact details, and put in a nickname for yourself, and click save&close. keep in mind though that works on your end, but the person receiving the message may see something different. gor instance, when I add a user, I update his/her contact details to show first and last name. so when they IM me, it shows me their first and last name, not their nickname. to talk to a Y! customer service person, go here (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/, pick the correct category, click a questions, scroll down and hit No, then put your info in the form and they'll respond to your question.
