Why wont yahoo messenger let me into a chatroom?

My yahoo messenger wont let me in a chatroom. Everytime i click on a room to go into, it doesnt do anything. Is this a common occurence with everyone that owns yahoo messenger. What do I do? Is there a way to fix this?

yahoo chat has been down about 3 or so hours and when it is working it freezes .. visit my site for something to do :-P
