How can I stop my Yahoo logging out?

How do I get my Yahoo Messenger to stop logging me out?

  • I have a verizon DSL internet connection which is set up to a linksys router so I can have wireless in my house. My yahoo continuously logs me out and back in automatically and I cannot stand it. I have tried re-installing yahoo and changing the connection preferences. I was recently in a hotel in ATL, GA; Greensboro, NC; and Norfolk, VA and all of them had Wi-Fi connection. For some reason my yahoo kept me logged in for the whole entire day. Now I am back home and it continues to act "dumb". Please help.

    Make sure you scan your computer for viruses/spyware/trojans. If you find that isn't the problem, try to look at your computer internet connections (not the YIM connections) and make sure if you have an anti-virus program, that it isn't blocking it or doing something wierd that could cause this problem. It could also be a problem with Vista, because YIM is new to that system and there are probably some bugs that haven't been worked out yet.

when you log in do you have the box to check to be kept logged in for two weeks? that may be the problem.

This happens to me sometimes too. Try closing some windows on you internet browser, it will help.

uncheck the box on the front log in page where your id and password are that says "sign in automatically" think its the middle box. should be three of them

well when the yahoo messanger uses alot of "bandwitdth" basicly sucking up your slow internet it logs out

get a virus program such as mcafee. try www.download.com
