Answer:

Check your audio video set up and adjust to suit as instructed in the text with the cam.Then if it still gives problems with Yahoo,try it on MSN MESSENGER,you can have both windows on your desk top no trouble.I have a Microsoft VX 3000 webcam,so it is totally compatible with MSN and i have never had any problems with it,i did have problems on Yahoo messenger though,i was using the version 1 program ,and am now using the version 2 program,which is not available on auto updates.It may just be a problem with Yahoo as they are restructuring a lot of programming at the moment,so be patient with them.
