Why won't my Yahoo Messenger work?

  • I updated to the new messenger and I keep getting a "YahooMessenger.exe - Application Error. Says "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc01500002). Click OK to terminate the application." Followed by a Windows "Yahoo has stopped working" notification. When I try to diagnose the problem it says "there was a problem with Windows that caused it to stop working"! I've uninstalled my messenger and tried to redownload it, but I keep getting the same thing at the end of the installation! I've already updated my windows, and that didn't work, so now I'm at a complete loss. Can someone tell me why I keep getting this ap. error and what I can do to get my messenger back?!
