Internet Explorer video problems?

I'm having problems with getting Internet Explorer to work.?

  • Everytime I start Internet Explorer it says, Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and has to close. The computer is a Dell Dimension 4550. I had to format the hard and drive and put the OS back on it. The OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I have the drivers installed, at least I think that it is all of them. What am I doing wrong. The browser is Internet Explorer 6.

  • Answer:

Click Tools>> WIndows Update, click. Make sure you choose to have your Updates installed automatically. you should also have Service Pack 3 and quite a few security updates. As soon as you get to this Windows page it's going to run a quick scan to check your updates and see if they're up to snuff, then you're going to be given the choice of leaving the updates to Windows or installing them yourself. You cannot possibly know as much as Windows OR your computer when it comes to what it needs and doesn't need so just leave it up to them and I'll bet things will work out better for you. This is the absolute best advice I can give you, reject it at your own risk... ~m~
