Can you search for contacts by Yahoo name?

Yahoo messenger has glitches. when i try importing contacts, it adds all the contacts but doesnt show many.?

  • As i said, it adds some new contacts to the messenger list but hides ( i say hide because if i put the name of the person i want to instant mesage to, it shows up in the search but not on the messenger list.) many of them. Also when i try to add the contaact that is missing or not shown on messenger list , yahoo gives me a message that the contact is already added ..... but the problem is it doesnt show on the messsenger list. can someone please tell me what to do. i am fed up now. I tried, uniinstall, reinstall and complete removal of yahoo services etc. so dont give me that as a solution please.. also pls dont tell me to check the show offline contact button cause thats not the case.
