How do I use messenger on Yahoo mail?

This is about yahoo messenger - sorry i use the old yahoo mail - my problem is that i cannot add people 2 my m?

• this is about yahoo messenger - sorry i use the old yahoo mail - my problem is that i cannot add people 2 my messenger list!!!!!!!!! if i am lucky i can add maybe 3 people per day!!!!! - my customers and fellow employees can all add me but i have 2 type their name in and go 2 the send messenger 2 someone not on my list 2 get any communications done - and it's not my connection - i can sign off yahoo and let another person use my computer 2 get onto their yahoo and they can add 40 people at a whack!!!!!!!!!! so y am i being singled out for this treatment????????? i am connie hoo and email is x_finders_keepers_x and thanks for your help in advance

  Sounds to me like you're missing one or two critical elements of making some changes to your settings. One, of course is Saving the change, or Submit it however it's phrased and it's so obvious that I hate to even bring it up, but there IS the possibility you're not doing it. The other issue may be that you're not refreshing the page immediately after making the changes and this is one of the more common areas. If the people you add aren't available to you immediately, but are on your list the next time you come on line, then it's absolutely because you're not refreshing the page, something that happens whenever you close, then reopen your computer. A refresh is basically a reboot, only it's for the single page you just made changes to rather than the whole system. Finally, try doing it from your Address Book (Yahoo) as it and the messenger list are tied together in terms of function as they relate to messenger. I hope this helps. ~m~
