What is the format to chat at yahoo?

Vioce error in yahoo chat ex-this computer does not support the required audio compression format?

  • hi i hve windows vista an i hve problem in yahoo messenger in chat that like when i enter into yahoo chat and clik on a join room after opening, it shows me a voice error ex- this computer does not support the required compression format. so i wanaa get rid of this error so plz help me.. thnx all

Almost everybody has lost their "voice". Try to see the other chatters in the room. Me too, my headsets do not work. I have tried the "Call set-up" to see if my mic is working OK and the message always says "no microphone device could be detected". And when I get into the chatrooms i always get this message = "This computer does not support the required audio compression requirement". I started losing my "voice" since Yahoo Messenger upgraded. I'll refer you to this site.....FREE CREED. You might find there what you need to make your headset work. Look for the CODEC thing. I did not bother to download it because its for Vista users and I'm not.

i have vista and voice works on it you must delete version of yahoo you have now redownload version 8.1.0.421 what i have and after you do that download this link http://www.bytescribe.com/downloads/tsp_codec_install.exe it worked for me good luck all was in this post http://chat-clients.com/y-8-1/027.html
