My yahoo mail alert in messenger doesnt work what could be the problem?

I have 3 yahoo messenger with 3 diffrent emails, i made this new account and got a messenger but it doesnt alert me when i got a new mail. i checked the sound alert and its okay. people whose online and offline alert me except my yahoo mail alert.. what do you think is the problem
