Why won't my Yahoo messenger open up?

Why I can't open my yahoo messenger? please need help!?

I click on the icon as always and yahoo messenger just CAN'T OPEN. I do not want to open/redownload a newone bcs I do not want to delete my archive of messaging. why is this happening. I also tryed to open messenger. yahoo.com, (using google search engine) it read: "windows ask for this website and it does not recognice the DNS, it answered is not existant" or smth lk that. There is a prob w/ yahoo messenger, many people are having the same prob right now.

Yes it is a problem that Yahoo is having. They have been working on getting it fixed. All you can do for now is keep trying the messenger. Many like you said are having the same problem with the messenger. Also problems in the new mail.
