Why doesn't the messenger load?

I am having trouble loading yahoo messenger.?

• i had yahoo messenger which was working well. but i downloaded a free antivirus. when i wanted to load messenger, a message said there was a missing idle.dll file. i downloaded this file and messenger worked for 4 days then just stopped. now it doesnt work at all and there is no message about a missing file. i have deleted messenger from my C drive and everywhere else, reinstalled and deleted messenger at least ten times, gone to the registry and deleted ypager there, i have deleted the antivirus. i have done EVERYTHING i know how. how do i get my messenger back? please help!!!!
