Why cant I download Yahoo messenger 8.1?

I cant download Yahoo Messenger?

Okay it started with all Yahoo services going down. Right now, it's back but for some reason after downloading Yahoo Messenger from http://messenger.yahoo.com/ it wont install. Instead I get this error: "A Network Error was Encountered. Do you want to retry the download?" Everytime I click "retry", it keeps on failing and failing. I cant reinstall Yahoo Messenger anymore. Can someone help me with this problem? PS. This problem started at October 26, 2011.
