How to chat on Yahoo?

ATTN: YAHOO please bring back chat without "bots". Here's how you can do it!! Anyone else agree?????

  • Are you ever going to bring back the "old" chat rooms that made Yahoo stand out? Please do something about Yahoo chat by getting rid of all the "bots" so that real people can use chat again. If you only look up this subject on Yahoo Answers you will see how much other people also miss Yahoo chat. Yes I know chat is still there but Yahoo seems to have given up on it and all rooms are just full of "bots". Yahoo chat USED to be a blast and a great way to make friends from all over the world. All you have to do is have a program to where if a certain number of people report a user as a "bot" then that account is automatically deleted. "Bots" would be booted in no time and REAL chat with REAL people would be back. Please do something. I miss the fun times in Yahoo Chat rooms. Anyone else miss the old days when you could go to Yahoo chat rooms and actually chat with REAL people? Anyone else also disappointed in Yahoo for not taking the time to have a simple program to boot all the "bots" ?

    I remember back in 1999 the chat rooms were great.Now they are all full of sex bots.Yeah Yahoo could get rid of them if they really wanted to.I have been using this program called Y!Tunnel.It stops the endless IM's from the bots and spammers.All Yahoo would have to do is build that in and the bots would be gone.There are a bunch of settings that keep the bots from even showing up in the room when they post.No this is not spam or an endorsement for their product but I think this is something worth looking into.

i agree...thats why i dont do chatrooms anymore...i spend the first 20 mins ignoring bots just to have 10 more message me....its f**king ridiculous

Yes it should get rid of bots. I suggest a series of warped text or numbers to be keyed by the user to get inside any chat room. Bots wont be able to do that.

Maybe too many weirdos were using the chatrooms or using inapropriate language. Not everybody enjoys that, so "bots"are needed.

yes i miss the old chat rooms, but they were a peodaphile heaven..i went into chat for the first time yesterday in about a yr... even though i left chat i was still bombarded with bots wanting to show me porn or webcams,,, and yes they still have the boot codes to get rid of the bots i just dont remember where to get them
