What are the webcam requirements for Yahoo! Messenger?

Help me with my webcam connection on Yahoo messenger?

  • When I chat on YM and do webcam with my friend, it just doesn't go right. After I start viewing her cam and showing her my cam, my webcam window starts saying something like "checking for super webcam mode". My friend's webcam window stays "super webcam is off". After about 10 seconds, it finishes to check my super webcam mode and says "super webcam mode is available". Then, all of a suddern, my friend's webcam window starts showing myself!! I mean on both her webcam window and my webcam window, I see myself!! This doesn't happen to her and she can continue to see me on my webcam window, herself on her webcam window. Once in a while, my webcam window says "Super webcam mode is unavailable" after checking. If this happens, I have no problems and I can continue to see her and myself on both right webcam windows. How can I solve this? What's wrong? Help!!

    Well, if its on yahoo messenger, then go to the webcam menu when its on - chnage the settings and turn the super mode off. I don't know much about yahoo messenger but try it anyway. Only know about msn messenger stuff - sorry!!!

Try turning off super webcam mode: Messenger > Preferences > Super Webcam > Keep broadcasting in standard mode > OK

if by not disabling ur super web cam mode...uninstall ur web cam program and re install ur cam ....if this does not work for u contact me for further troubleshooting.....
