What's wrong with my Yahoo! Messenger?

Whats wrong with Yahoo Messenger?

  • It says check my internet contection. Its fine, and I can get on any other website other then log into Yahoo Messenger. I go up to "Contection Perferences" and then it has marked "Contection directly to the internet" "this is recommended". I can click " Conect via a proxy server" and it marks "HTTP proxy" by itself. I can do the "Contect via a proxy server" and it lets me sign in but thats not the normal way. I've had this trouble before. Is Yahoo Messenger having trouble again?Thanks.

A new, blank email will open in a new tab. 2 For IM or SMS, click the down-facing arrow next to the button. From the menu, select the type of message you want to send. 3 Contacts who are online appear to the left of your Inbox. To IM a message, click the contact's name. Its not just you. I have the same issue going on. I'm on Messenger right now with the proxy suggestion. It sounds like Yahoo's having some issues today. Wonder if it means a new version is coming? But either way, for now just use the proxy setting. That'll get you on.

Yeah they must be working on something or having a glitch... I cant even sign in via proxy, I can only sign in on the yahoo mail page.

I've had trouble ever since the recent update. It seems like maybe it was rushed and is therefore buggy. I was worried something was wrong with my computer because Messenger logged out on its own and I couldn't re-connect. I'm also not thrilled that I can't disable the games and voice chat buttons either without hiding my status bar. Oooh and just realized that my avatar has gotten really tiny on the chat window... And apparently this message has 74 mispellings... O_o
